ON REPEAT

This one has been on repeat for a while now. There's just something about it. Actually, there's something about this whole album. It makes me feel the same way I did when I first heard College Dropout; just all kinds of ready to buy-in. I had the chance to see Chance (see what I did there? quite clever, no? no - I agree) live in the fall and skipped it due to chilly-weather hermit tendencies and working gal responsibilities - namely, avoiding Sunday night shows and cranky Monday mornings. Next time, I'll just take a day.

ON REPEAT

Jack has a proclivity for a certain level of sad bastard music (1, 2, 3) that I am rarely able to match. It's not that I don't like the sadder stuff, it's more that I skew slightly impressionable and begin to see my own life through blues-tinted glasses. I digress. Once in a while though, a song of the less-sad-more-take-that,-world variety gets thrown on repeat and I jump on it. This song is all kinds of fantastic to both dance to and belt out. It offers major feelings of girl power, much like Spice Girls once did except it's actual girl power and not just secrets hidden in platform shoes.

ON REPEAT

There is just something about this song that gets me. I first heard it while driving the PCH1 this fall and was instantly hooked. It's a great jam that gets me dancing, moving and excited for all the good times to come. Plus, I mean, come on - a kickass all-girl rockband? Clearly we all need a little more of that in our lives.
