Going commando
I'm not quite sure why but lately I'm just not interested in jewelry. I've accumulated so much and I love it all but I just don't want to wear it. I think it may be the simplicity of hot summer days bumming around with sweet folks and lovely eats - whatever it is, when I have to dress up I end up perplexed.
As I got ready for our anniversary dinner in Quebec City I pondered what jewelry I would wear with this dress. I brought it all but felt like none of it. Luckily, a much more decisive me packed our overnight bag and chose to bring a dress that doesn't require much else. Black zipper, soft pleats, case closed; I'm adorned. Hopefully this feeling will go away with arrival of the fall air - my blazers are missing my necklaces.

You look great and you are right the dress doesn't need much more. It makes a statement on its own.
ReplyDeleteThe pleating on that dress is beautiful, I think you made the right choice forgoing jewelry.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely relate to passing on jewelry. I think this dress is so fabulous by itself, but the way you paired it with the clutch and wedges makes the outfit perfect! Sometimes simple is truly better.
ReplyDeletegorgeous outfit and i get into jewelry ruts too! we don't always need to be be-decked
ReplyDeletekw ladies in navy
You look amazing in that dress! I love the color on you. Great look! xo
ReplyDeleteYou don't even need a necklace with this dress! It's hard picking out jewelry sometimes. That usually takes longer than picking what clothes to wear!

Exploring My Style
I've been pushing the needle on sans panty-hose...when do you think it's unacceptable to go bare-skin? I've been debating when to drag out the hose and it makes me sad :(
