Tasty Design

Recently a friend from work asked me if I would mind designing her a cookbook cover. I was flattered and jumped at the chance to design something not-military related. Below are a few of the covers I offered her as options, we both agreed that one stood out from the rest - can you guess which it is?

*i know, i know I'm just so rad at making cook book covers that you want one.
If you do please ask and don't steal - you'll just ruin the resolution - I'm sure
we could work something out :)

  1. These are amazing! I love them all! But I think the middle one is my favorite....I'd pick that book off the shelf...the little flatware at the top is so dear.

  2. I feel like this is a test...is it a test? So I personally like the middle one the best however the silverware in the last one kind of rocks. So..which is it?

  5. The second one was the favourite. I just think it's funny because it's very telling of my design process. I usually spend a lot of time looking for patterns to use (the first one) and making things more difficult than they should be (the third one- the cutlery) and then all of a sudden I take a minute and it comes to me (the second one) and it stands out. I made the little circle design myself, but it didn't take that long, and the modern twist (flatware and thick brown band) on a 50s type style just seemed to tie everything together.

I still think the first and third are great, although the first is a little wedding invitation-ish, but the second one just just seems complete.

  8. Love the cookbook designs! It could also be super cute to take the style of the silverware in the 2nd cover and tile them like in the 3rd. I love them all, great job!
